Day 1
Srinagar –local sightseeing (27 kms) Arrive Srinagar, meeting upon arrival and transfer with assistance to hotel. PM: free to relax to enjoy the scenic view of mountain ranges around Dal Lake visit to famous Mughal gardens Chashma shahi (royal spring), Nishat (gardens of pleasure), Shalimar (abode love) collectively known as the Mughal gardens are contribution of the great Mughals laid out in the 16th century and these fall along the bank of Dal-lake in the heart of Srinagar city and shankarachariya temple located on a hillock, thus providing Panaromic view of entire city, along with famous Dal-lake and river Jehlum, enroute visiting hand loom centers famous for production of pashmina /Suite shawls and world over reckoned carpets, evening return back to Houseboat/hotel for overnight stay
Day 3
Kargil – leh ( kms) Leave after breakfast from kargil to Leh. Enroute visit Mulbek, giant living Buddha sculpture on rock mountains ,lamyuru, the oldest monastery of Ladakh and moon landscape on the way visit the pathar sahib Gurudwara and hall of fame reach Leh by evening overnight stay in hotel
Day 5
LEH – KHARDUNG-LA PASS – LEH: (85Kms) Leave after breakfast full day excursion to Khardung-la Pass, which is the highest Motorable, Pass (5600 Mts.) and has been recorded in the Gunnies Book of world records. At the top enjoy the natural beauty of snow capped mountain. In the evening return to the Hotel for overnight
Day 7
Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 144 Kms long with half of it’s running the other side of the “Indo-China Border”. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. In the late afternoon drive back to Leh. overnight at Hotel. Leave after breakfast from Leh to kargil. Day 2
Srinagar-kargil (204 kms) Leave after breakfast to the trans-Himalayan district of Kargil comprises the south-western part of Ladakh. it derives its name from the second major town of ladakh viz “kargil” which is also the district Headquarter. The district comprises a complex of valleys, chief among which are the suru, zanaskar, Drass, Shaker chiktan, wakha and lower Indus. kargil town, 204 kms from Srinagar is situated on Srinagar-Leh NHW-1-D and is the second largest town of Ladakh. The town is located at the junction of the famous treaty route linking like silk route and caravans from china, Turkey, Yarqand, Afghanistan and the Indian plains, which used to pass through kargil in the past. The kargil town is situated on the confluence of river suru and Nallah wakha at an attitude of 2704 mtrs with a population of about 10,000 souls. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 4
LEH - MONASTERIES:- Leave after breakfast leave for the Famous Monasteries it is Interesting to visit early in the Morning to enjoy the praying ceremony at Thiksey Monastery. Continue drive to Hemis monastery which is one of the most famous monasteries of the Ladakh region. On the way back visit to shey Palace, Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 6
LEH – PANGONG LAKE – LEH: (290 Kms) Leave early morning at 5. A.M to Pangong Lake through Changla Pass 5486 Mtrs. While ascending Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass. After crossing the pass halt for picnic lunch at Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive - Durduk and from there a short drive takes you to the western shore of the lake.
Day 8
kargil- Srinagar (204 kms) Leave after breakfast from kargil to Srinagar on the way visit the famous resort of Kashmir sonmarg. Overnight stay at hotel in Srinagar. Morning free till departure transfer for Srinagar airport to board the scheduled flight onwards
